If a new delivery-room procedure reduced deaths of mothers during labor by 95%, CNN and “60 Minutes” would do special hour-long tributes and the new technique would quickly become mandatory.
If a new safety gadget inside automobiles were demonstrated to reduced fatalities by 95%, it would be talked up as a miracle of the age and be installed in every car.

DOH Actively Misleading Adults Using Taxpayer Dollars
OLYMPIA, WA -- The Washington Department of Health (DOH) is committing public health malpractice by pushing false information about the risks of vapor products and electronic cigarettes. This, according to Dr. Michael Siegel, a professor at the Boston University School of Public Health and an anti-smoking advocate and researcher with 25 years of experience in tobacco control.
Dr. Siegel's accusations come in response to a new report by the Washington DOH that claims: "People may be attracted to E-cigarettes because of unproven claims that they are safer and more accepted than traditional cigarettes."
